What personal data InspectorDex handles, why, who helps us run the site and how to make a privacy request.
Who is responsible
The owner of InspectorDex (inspectordex.com) decides how your data is used. You can reach the owner at info@inspectordex.com. We handle personal information in line with the state privacy laws that apply. We do not sell personal information and we do not share it for advertising.
What we collect and why
When you visit, your IP address, your browser and the pages you open, only so the site stays secure and works properly. The messages you send us, so we can reply. For companies with an account, the sign-in email and the company details, so they can manage their listing and plans. Please do not send us details about a specific house, an inspection report, an insurance claim or your financial information. We do not need them and will delete them if they arrive.
No ads and no tracking cookies
InspectorDex shows no ads and sets no advertising cookies and no analytics cookies. Visits are counted with Cloudflare Web Analytics, which works without cookies. The only cookies are the ones strictly needed to run the site, such as the one that keeps a business owner signed in.
Service providers
Cloudflare hosts and protects the site, counts visits without cookies and handles our email. Cloudflare Turnstile checks that a person is filling in our forms. Stripe charges the plans bought by listed companies and handles payment details itself, so they never reach us.
How long we keep it
Browsing data only as long as security requires. Emails until we have dealt with your message. Account details while the account is open. Billing records for as long as tax and accounting rules require.
Your rights and choices
Depending on the state where you live, privacy laws such as those in California, Colorado and Virginia may let you ask what personal information a business holds about you, have it corrected or deleted, and opt out of its sale or use for targeted advertising. To make a request, write to info@inspectordex.com and tell us what you would like. If you are not happy with our answer, you can contact your state attorney general's office.
Children
The site is meant for adults and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect their personal information.
Changes
If we change how we handle personal information, we will say so on this page.
